Re-backed with the original blue cloth laid onto the new. Bright gilt decoration and titles to the front and spine. The original cloth is slightly pulling away along the spines otherwise the boards are in good condition. Binding tight. There is the occasional foxing/browning throughout although the contents are generally very clean. The folding map to the front of volume one has a large closed tear. Volume 3 has a facsimile of the Death Warrant for the execution of Charles The First, King Of England. Overall a good set.
