Bound in the original green decorative bevelled boards with bright gilt titling to spine and upper board. Top and tail of spine and corners bumped. Spine a little faded. Spotting to fore edge and very lightly to the margins of the text. Illustrated with 8 colour plates with protective tissue guard, and 128 b/w photographs depicting the best gardens in the Northern counties. pp xxxvii + plates at rear.
