Illustrated With Many Hundred Wood-cuts, to Which are Added, Explanatory Notes. Bound in full leather with black tooled decoration to the boards and gilt titling to the spine. Leather is heavily rubbed and scuffed all over. Marks to the front board in particular as though the book had been scraped. Wear to the top of the spine and 2cm by 1.5cm loss to the bottom. Corners bumped and scuffed. All edges gilt, marble endpapers. Neat ink inscription to the verso of the f.f.e.p. dated 1863. Contents a little browned and foxed but o/w good, numerous b/w illustrations. pp 584.
