Bound in blue cloth with gilt titles to the front board and spine, boards are rubbed and worn, with shelf wear to the top and base of the spine and fraying along the rear outer hinge. 185pp Internally there is the occasional foxing/browning throughout especially to the prelims and to the rear, although the text is clean and legible. The internal hinge is cracked making the binding weak. Previous owners' small book plate to the front paste down. The frontispiece tissue guard has been torn. With 16 black/white illustrations with in the text this is still a lovely copy.
