Bound in calf leather, some of which has worn away to extremities. Double ruled in gold around edges of front & back board. Six raised bands along spine. Some small tears along joints, open and closed. Some scratches to front & back boards. Top & bottom of spine slightly rubbed. Title label on spine broken. Thick parchment-like paper, slightly yellowed with age on end paper, flyleaf and first few pages front & back, all pages slightly warped. A beautiful antiquated edition of an important legal text.
