Beautifully bound in the publisher's original brown cloth with floral embossed detail. Beautifully illustrated by George Cruikshank. The boards are a little creased to the front and lightly discoloured to the rear otherwise in good condition. Gilt titles to the spine with a small piece missing to the top and fraying to the base. Binding tight despite a little cracking to the front internal hinge. Front and rear end-papers a little grubby with previous owners' label to the front paste down and rear free end-paper missing. There is foxing/browning throughout although this is predominately to the margins otherwise a good clean copy. pp. 524 + publishers' advertisement. Overall a good copy.
