Presentation binding beautifully bound in full red leather with gilt double ruled borders to the front and rear and small gilt pictorial to the front. The boards are in good condition although a little rubbed and worn to the rear. Gilt decorative tooling and five raised bands to the spine in good condition despite a little discolouration. All edge marble. Marble end-papers. Neat inscription to one of the prelims. Binding tight with no cracking to the internal hinges. There is the occasional foxing throughout although the contents are generally clean, illustrated. pp. viii + 476. Overall a good copy.
