This book contains a very short history of the Fenlands, and of the various efforts to convert the drowned areas into a prosperous agricultural condition. It gives some examples of early mechanical efforts towards draining and places on record the history of the Firm (Gwynnes Pumps ) and the part it has played all over the world. Overall a very good copy.
