Hardback in original grey cloth with gilt lettering and colour pictorial cover and spine. Prize book plate to fep. Missing ffep. Profusely illustrated. Spine discoloured and gilt faded. Rubbing to edges and over hinge. Cracking to gutter, front board loose. Binding starting with a few pages coming loose in the centre of the text block, else sound. Pages lightly toned with occasional scattered spotting, otherwise clean. Overall good condition. 512 pp. A sweet book from the library of a Beeton descendant.
