Pictorial dust jacket in good condition, front cover clean and bright, rear cover has two pieces missing along the top edge. original red cloth boards with decorative embossing to the front and gilt titles to the spine. In an overall good clean condition with just a little staining to the top edge of the spine. Pictorial end-papers. There is the very occasional spot of foxing throughout otherwise a good clean copy. Beautifully illustrated with full page colour plates and many black and white line drawings throughout. With contributions from Dean Swift, Edward Lear, Lord Tennyson, John Keats, John Bunyan, Washington Irving, Lewis Carroll, Charles Kingsley, H.W. Longfellow, R.M. Ballantyne, R.L.
