Beautiful full tree calf prize binding in good condition despite very light surface wear to volume II. Gilt still bright. Ornate decorative gilt spine. Front board to volume I is partly detached. All edges of the text block marbled. Vol I: End papers marbled with minor wear to the internal hinge. Light foxing to the prelims otherwise pages clean, sharp. pp.776. Vol II: gorgeous marbling to end papers in excellent condition. Foxing to the prelims and light foxing to pages throughout otherwise clean and bright. pp.820. Overall a very good set, would make an ideal gift.
