Edition: First Edition
Published By: Macmillan & Co. Ltd
Osbert Sitwell's volume of portrait poems, entitled Wrack at Tidesend, is regarded as both a sequel and companion volume to his England Reclaimed. Containing over eighty poems centring around the life of a town, this edition is full of the same wit and insight contained within his prose works as Sitwell work to reveal small vignettes of residents belonging to his invented borough. Signed by the author. The condition of this book is fair to good, with foxing and tanning commensurate with age. Dust jacket is darkened, and spine of jacket has moderate wear to edges. The hardback itself is bound in red, with fading to spine and edges of both boards. Internally, the foxing has not progressed any further than the endpapers - text itself is extremely bright and clear. Overall, a fair copy with well-kept pages.
