First Editions. Dust jacket's in good condition despite foxing and a little wear to the extremities, not price clipped. Original red cloth boards in a good clean condition with the gilt titles to the spine still bright, just a little creasing to one corner on volume one. The red along the top edge of the text block has faded with foxing to the fore edge. Previous owners' signature to the front free end-paper to volume 2 & 4. Foxing to the prelims and occasionally throughout otherwise pages are clean. Volume I, The Birth Of Britain, 1956, pp. xxi + 416. Volume II, The New World, 1956, pp. 344. Volume III, The Age Of Revolution, 1957, pp. xi + 332. Volume IV, The Great Democracies, 1958, pp. xi + 322. Overall a good set. Would make an ideal gift.
