A beautiful little book with wonderful plates throughout. Original full leather binding with ornate gilt decoration to the spine. The leather does show a little surface wear with light loss to the extremities, spine has cracked down the front outer hinge with slight loss to the top. Title band missing. Marble endpapers a little faded. The remains of a small piece of tape to the verso of the front free end-paper. Pages however are remarkably clean given the books age. pp. 575. Overall a good copy. French text throughout.
