Deep blue cloth boards with simple but elegant pictorial to the front and spine. In overall very good condition, the cloth is still bright and clean and the gilt to the front remains unfaded. Minor shelf wear to the top and base of the spine. Previous owners' inscription dated 1906 to the front free endpaper. Foxing to the endpapers with toning to the pages otherwise free of any further inscriptions. Illustrated with full page monochrome plates throughout. pp. 422 + 32. Overall a very good copy. Would make the perfect gift.
