Beautiful decorative boards with gilt details to front and spine both in good condition despite fading to the spine and some small pencil marks on the back. Text block has darkened with age but remains clean and operational. Decorative end papers with a quotation from Matthew Arnold and a previous owner's neat Christmas inscription. Lovely full colour frontispiece. Title page has some underlining in pencil and includes a quotation from Lovelace. Pasted down end paper has a previous owner's name written neatly at the top and the back free end paper is missing otherwise pages clean and intact throughout.
