A collection of folk lore and fairy tales. Original blue textured cloth with embossed detail and titles to the front and spine. The cloth has unfortunately discoloured especially to the front with slight marks/ dents to the extremities. Gilt both to the front and spine have dulled. Spine has a little shelf wear to the top and base with a closed tear along the front outer hinge. Previous owners' neat pencil signature to the front free endpaper. Illustrated with seven full page colour plates and several black and white line drawings throughout. Some of which have been neatly coloured in. Pages are lightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing especially to the prelims, although overall clean. pp. 239. A good reading copy of this much loved book.
