Handsome little volume replete with decoration to front board and spine - inscription to ffep dated 1896. Features gorgeous frontispiece engraving accompanied by original tissue guard and a couple of internal illustrations. Outer condition is good with just a little bumping to corners and extremities of spine; colour and gilt are vivid and well-preserved. Spine slightly discoloured with a lean, rubbing to spine and back. Inside, textblock is clean and bright with minor foxing to first few pages - otherwise lovely. An unusual and interesting edition.
