First Edition Hard Back. Beautifully bound in green cloth with decorative gilt front board and spine. The front board is clean and bright with the exception of a little discolouration along the top edge. The spine is toned with a little edge wear, there is light lifting of the cloth to the top edge of the rear board. Top edge of the text block gilt while the fore edge remains untrimmed. Binding tight. Decorative endpapers. Presentation label which has been partly removed to the verso of the front free endpaper. Minor pen marks to the contents pages. There is the occasional spot of foxing throughout however the pages are generally clean throughout. Beautifully illustrated with 25 full page colour plates, including frontispiece and the occasional line drawing. Colour plates are all present and intact. pp. xvi + 367. Overall a beautiful copy.
