Hard Back. A New Edition Complete In One Volume. Handsomely bound in black leather with ornate gilt decoration to the boards and spine. The leather has very minor wear along the hinges and to the top edge of the rear board with slight loss to the base of the spine. Otherwise bright and in very good condition. All edges of the text block gilt and free of any discolouration. Previous owners' label and signature to the front endpapers. Binding tight. There is quite heavy foxing to the prelims although the rest of the pages remain free of any foxing or inscriptions. text is double columned. With frontispiece portraiture of Edmund Spencer and vignette of Kilcolman Castle to the title page. pp. 530 + glossary. Overall a beautiful copy.
