Hard Back. Edited from numerous manuscripts by Rev. Walter W. Skeat. Beautiful presentation binding bound in rich navy leather with double gilt ruled borders and gilt coat of arms to the front. Ornate gilt decoration, brown title band and five raised bands to the spine. In overall good condition with no loss or wear to the leather and the gilt is still bright, spine however is very lightly sunned. All edges of the text block and endpapers marbled with presentation label to the front paste down dated 1912. Internally the binding is tight and the pages are remarkably clean throughout. Text is double columned. pp. xxiv + 732 + 149. Overall a very good copy. Would make an ideal gift.
