Hard Back. Beautifully bound in red cloth with embossed decorative detail and pretty pictorial in gilt to the front. This book has been much loved with heavy discolouration to the boards and spine and fading to the lower extremities. Internally the binding seems fairly tight although there are a number of loose patterns throughout, these may be a part of the book or have been placed there from a previous owner. Previous owners' neat signature to the front paste down. Pages are lightly toned with the occasional spot of foxing throughout otherwise remarkably clean, illustrated. pp. 318. A fascinating book full of stories, poetry, medical hints, and needlework hints and projects with a lovely piece on fashions. Scarce copy.
