Twenty-Eighth Edition. Handsomely bound in brown leather with gilt-ruled borders to the front and rear, ornate gilt decoration, five raised bands and black title band to the spine. The leather is a little rubbed and worn with light fading/ discolouration in places however generally in good condition. All edges of the text block and endpapers are marbled. Previous owners' large inscription dated 1877 to the first blank prelim with heavy foxing to the prelims and towards the rear. The rest of the pages however are clean throughout and illustrated with the occasional line drawing. pp. xiii + 407. Overall a good copy of this popular title.
