Soft green leather in very good condition. Front has delightful gilded pictorial of rural scene. Top of the textblock is gilded, still bright. Crease to the front pasted down endpaper and tiny mark to the flyleaf. Elegant frontispiece depicting Emerson. Pages are bright and clean. Tiny tear at the bottom, creasing along the edges, and slightly discoloured spine. Fore edge and bottom of textblock rather ragged. pp.241. This would make a lovely gift.
