Hardback Second Impression. The pictorial dustjacket shows some toning with wear and chipping along the top edge. Original cloth boards are in good condition despite a little fading along the front top edge. Previous owners' small neat inscription to the front free endpaper. The pages otherwise are very clean throughout and beautifully illustrated by Denys Watkins-Pitchford. pp. xviii + 287. Overall a good copy. A collection of country reminiscences from a much-loved naturalist and illustrator.
