Hardback, published in 1940. Bound in full brown leather with a gilt-ruled border to the boards and gilt titles between raised bands to the spine. In good condition except for a little edge wear and bumping to the corners, the spine has darkened and there is a little surface wear. The top edge of the text block is gilt and remains fairly bright while the fore-edge is untrimmed. Marbled endpaper with no inscriptions or bookplates. There is a little pencil notation to one of the prelims and although the pages are slightly toned they are clean throughout. pp. viii + 262. Overall a very good copy.
