Hardback. Bound in the publishers' original deep purple cloth with gilt titles to the spine. The boards although firm are heavily faded with the gilt titles to the spine dulled. Brown endpapers with a small piece missing to one corner. Previous owners' pencil notation and signature to the half-title page. The pages are toned with the occasional spot of foxing throughout although generally clean. Illustrated with three folding plans and six plates to the rear, and the occasional line drawing. The folding plans although intact are foxed. pp. viii + 296 + plates. A good reference copy.
