First Edition Hardback. The original red cloth binding is discoloured with a little loss to the top of the spine. The endpapers are toned with two previous owners' inscriptions to the front free endpaper. The rest of the pages although toned with the very occasional spot of foxing are clean throughout, illustrated with a photogravure frontispiece with tissue guard, several black and white photographic plates and folding map to the rear. pp. xv + 488. Overall a good copy.
