Volumes I & II clothbound with gilt titles and blind stamped with a gilt medieval image, still bright. Pages appear unread with pencil inscriptions, both dated 1995, to the front free endpapers. A nice touch is that the ISBNs are stamped in gilt to the rear boards. The spine to Volume I is ever so marginally faded and the book has remains of a sticker on the last page. Vol I: pp.xcv+356. Vol II: pp.358-615. Overall very good. The volumes include photographic plates.
