First Edition Hardback. Scarce copy this copy was privately published and presented to Cambridge University by the Author. A doctoral dissertation published in 1938 in New York. Handsomely bound by Gray's of Cambridge in blue cloth with gilt titles to the spine. the original card coves have been bound in to the rear. The binding is in good condition despite a little bumping to the corners, the gilt to the spine is till bright however there is the occasional spot of rubbing and wear. There is a small presentation label to the front paste down, library stamp to the title, chapter one, page 17, page 75, rear front cover and to the rear free endpaper. The pages otherwise are very clean throughout. pp. vii + 75. Overall a very good copy.
