A handsome four volume set full of beautiful line drawings and several engraved plates. Bound in half tan leather with cloth boards, decorative gilt tooling and green title bands to the spines. The binding shows a little rubbing and wear as expected with age however generally in good condition. All edges of the text block marble with marbled endpapers. The endpapers to volume one show a little surface wear. The pages are clean however there is the occasional spot of foxing predominately to the prelims and towards the rear. The History of England from Roman times to Queen Victoria. Overall a very good set.
