Hardback. Beautifully bound in rich red cloth with small gilt motif and embossed detail to the front, gilt titles to the spine. In overall good condition despite a little discolouration, the spine has very lightly faded although the gilt is still fairly bright. Yellow endpapers with a small neat pencil inscription to the front free endpaper. A few of the page edges are a little ragged where someone has cut them, presumably because they were uncut before. The pages are generally clean despite some foxing, illustrated with the occasional diagram. pp. xii + 563. Overall a good copy of a scarce book.
