Hard back. Both front and rear boards show little sign of wear, other than a small marking on the rear board. The spine is a little worn on the bottom edge. The silver gilt title on the spine retains a very bright appearance. The binding remains tight. Internally, there is a small pencil inscription from a previous owner in the front free end papers. The text is clean throughout. pp. viii + 245. Overall, a very good copy of an enquiry into the reign of Edward III, with a focus upon the ministerial inquiries of 1340.
