Hardback. The front and rear boards are in very good condition, showing very little sign of wear. The spine retains its bright silver gilt titles well. Internally, there is some slight foxing on the verso of the front and rear boards and throughout the front and rear free end papers. There is a small pencil inscription belonging to a previous owner in the front free end papers. The text remains clear throughout. pp. viii + 306. Overall, a very good copy of this invaluable handlist for understanding diplomatic representation in the early modern era.
