Undated, circa 1900. Hard back. Front board in very good condition, retaining gilt title and simple design well, very slight wear to extremities. Rear board a little more worn, with some slight markings. Spine a little worn down edges, especially along the top edge, where there is a slight tear. Gilt title to the spine still bright. Edges of pages faded and a little worn. Cracking to internal hinges and binding loose. Illustrated bookplate to verso of front board. Toning in front and rear free end papers, with a few small pencil marks to the front. Half title page torn along spine from bottom edge. Illustrated frontispiece remains clean. Slight foxing throughout but all text readable. pp. 555. Overall, a beautifully illustrated copy of this classic story by Dumas.
