A wonderful Folio Society edition of this classic novel by Christopher Isherwood, set during the final days of the Weimar Republic. The front and rear boards show little sign of wear, only very slightly to the extremities, retaining their bright illustrations that excellently capture the essence of the novel very well. The spine is a little faded, but the bold text remains clean. The top edge of the text block is in a dark brown colour, which appears unmarked. Housed in an ivory slip case which has a number of small markings. Internally, the binding is a little loose. The pages and numerous illustrations are clean throughout. pp. 256. Overall, a wonderful copy of this celebrated novel, perfect for any fans of either this original, or any of its adaptations.
