Hardback. Handsomely bound in rich red leather with gilt ruled borders, gilt titles and decoration between five raised bands to the spine. All edges are gilt. Marbled endpapers with a frontispiece of Elizabeth Barrett Browning. The binding is in good condition despite minor bumping to the corners and a little wear to the spine. There is heavy toning to the title page and foxing to the prelims and towards the rear. Neat pen inscription dated 1887 to the front free endpaper. The rest of the pages are clean throughout. pp. 403. Overall a lovely copy. Would make an ideal gift.
