Hardback. First Edition. A good copy of this much loved classic. The dust jacket designed by John Ward is in good condition despite closed tears and wear to the extremities. Not price clipped. Underneath lie green cloth boards which are slighlty bumped to the corners and extremities. However, clean and in good condition. The top edge is foxed while the fore-edge remains clean. There is a previous owner's small neat pencil signature to the front free endpaper. Light foxing to the endpapers, prelims and very occasionally throughout, otherwise a good clean copy. pp. 281. Overall a lovely copy.
