Hardback. Methuen's books for Children, First Edition Thus. The beautifully illustrated dust jacket is clean and bright and shows only a little edge wear. Minor fading to the spine, hardly noticeable. Price clipped. Underneath lie navy cloth boards with bright gilt titles to the spine. There is a little bumping along the top edge otherwise a nice bright copy with the corner's still fairly sharp. The top and fore-edge are free of any marks while the pages within appear unread. Enhanced by the illustrations of Denys Watkins-Pitchford. pp. 138. Bill's arch enemy, the cat Napoleon, escapes from prison and attempts to steal Bill's barge.
