Hardback. A good copy of Jane Austen's first novel beautifully bound in pale green cloth with gilt floral detail and titles to the front and spine. The front board is clean and vibrant and shows very little wear while there is a little lifting of the cloth to the rear. There is a lean to the spine with slight shelf wear to the top and base. The top edge is gilt while the fore-edge remains untrimmed. Beautifully embellished endpapers with slight toning otherwise free of any bookplates or inscriptions. The pages are very clean with just the very occasional spot of foxing. Illustrated with twenty four coloured plates by C.E. Brock. pp. 308. Overall a lovely copy.
