Full cloth bind in charcoal grey with a pictoral cloth (tipped on plate) of "Evening at the Watering Hole". Similarly, the charcoal grey marble edged slipcase features a paste down of another of Shepherd's enchanting illustrations, "Pride". The edition features a foreword by Sir Edmund Hillary, and 12 limited edition plates, which are signed by Shepherd in pencil under each image. Each plate is accompanied by an original poem by Wilbur Smith. This is a limited edition item, of which only 500 copies were created. The slipcase has some bumping, but the inside of the edition is as-new. This is a lovely selection of works from a world-known campaigner and conservationist, whose adoration and respect for animals is apparent on every page.
