This lovely green clothbound hardback edition of "The Jungle Books" by Rudyard Kipling includes both the first and second jungle books. The book is handsomely presented, with a charming gilt illustration of an elephant on the cover, gilt lettering and decoration to the spine, and a burnt orange stain to the top edge. Stuart Tresilian's black ink illustrations feature throughout the book, and add a sense of whimsy to these well-loved children's stories. This book has 320 pages of text, and despite some fading to the detail on the spine, and some minor foxing throughout, it remains in good condition. This book is looking for a new home, and would be the perfect gift for any Kipling enthusiasts.
